SITUATION MODELING FEATURE :
One of the parts of the Group section is the Situation Modeling feature. The respective fast access button and menu features are located on the Group tag. This feature allows you to re-create the structure of any group; determine tasks and algorithms of group actions; measure the strength of interaction among group members; and consider external factors influencing a group's structure and activities.
By clicking the fast access button, the group window will open a second window with an integrated feature consisting of three tabs.
The first tab is called Data Entry. To start, you will need to create a group structure. To do this, click the left button and enter the name of the group. The name of the group structure and the two folders, Persons and Influential Persons, will appear in the window.
Start with the person/s that influence the group structure or the group as a whole, e.g. the Prime Minister of a government cabinet, the coach of a soccer team or the founders and stakeholders of a company. To move the influential person/s to the required section, go to the main menu and click Open Database. This will open the database where the data is stored. Find the required names and 'drag and drop' them into the Influential Persons list of the Team Selection Master window. The folder in the right-side window will open, containing the new names. Click on every name one at a time, and setup their weight mask and individual degree of influence. If the list does not offer a required mask, create it in the Weight Rates window and the mask list will change accordingly. This way, the selected person is assigned an appropriate weight mask and certain influence.
The accuracy of the Situation Modeling feature greatly depends on astrologer's expertise and professional skills. The astrologer should be knowledgeable in forecasting and its many nuances and pitfalls, as the setup of the colored mask and individual weight determine the outcome of the forecast.
Now it is time to setup the group structure. A group may consist of many elements. Press the Add Sub-Group button and enter the sub-group name in the window. Repeat this procedure for all sub-groups. For example, a government group may have the sub-groups Premier, Vice-Premier, Minister of Finance, etc. A soccer team may have the sub-groups Goalkeeper, Forward, Halfback and Defender, or, if the astrologer wishes to be more precise, Right-flank Forward. New folders will appear in the right-side window featuring the group structure. The data you enter will be added to the Sub-Group Type list. Check every position in the list and enter the number of staff or team members for each sub-group, i.e. the number of persons that should remain in the group after the optimization. You can do this with the help of the component located next to the list.
Next, setup the candidates for each group. Select the required sub-group from the Sub-Group Type list. Use the 'drag and drop' facility to add the persons to this list. Please note that the number of candidates should exceed the number of actual team members by at least 50%. Setup a weight mask and individual weight for each person you enter into the sub-group.
There is another feature that you can use in conjunction with this. It is the Approved Yes/No button. You can apply it to persons who have already been approved to take their positions, and will therefore belong to the group structure. For instance, a web design agency is advertising for designers. The agency has six positions; three of them are vacant. Fifteen candidates apply for the three vacancies. With this data in mind, place an 'approved' note next to the three existing staff members and a 'not approved' note next to the 15 candidates. The program will know that it has to select 3 candidates from the 15 that have applied; however, it will not only compare the 15 applicants with each other but also with the three existing staff members.
This setup process should be repeated for all sub-groups.

Keep in mind that each group is optimized for a certain period of time. There are no governments that rule indefinitely or soccer teams whose player lists never change. The time interval for optimization can be set in the same way as it is done for simple groups. Use the Calculation Interval feature or its respective fast access buttons. When you have finished, the Team Selection Master will be ready for optimization.
Now the most interesting part begins: the optimized team will have to be modeled for a certain task. Go to the Analysis tab. It has several windows, sliders and sub-menus. Its options follow a hierarchy of priorities.
Do not bother with the large window on the right. You will only need it to view the final results. The upper left Dynamics slider is the most important tool. It determines the type of task, which the team is created to perform. Dynamics determines the dynamic curve character of the team in creation.
We prefer to display the forecast data as graphics and symbols rather than as text. By default, the slider will be in the zero position. This means that the red crisis line and the green positive line will be almost equal for the chosen interval in the final chart. Moving the slider to the right, into the 'plus area', will increase positive tendencies. This will influence the position of the green line above the red line in the final chart. The more you move the slider to the right, the more the green line will dominate the red (but only if individual charts of the persons you have entered allow for this much positivity). A measured and sober approach is advised. Take a soccer league for example, most teams are fairly equal in their strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, when you design a team line-up for a game, hold back on the desire to push the slider too far into the positive area, as this would signal a bias.
In certain cases, compatibility among the players will be much more important than the actual dynamics of the team. You may turn off the dynamics priority altogether by checking 'Off' in the box next to the Dynamics slider.
Now setup the compatibility within the group. Psychological research shows that 70-75% compatibility is most likely to be achieved in small and medium-sized groups. One hundred percent compatibility is unlikely to be achieved and trying to reach it may rob the group from development motivation and result in a kind of energy stagnation, distraction and loss of efficiency. A fully compatible group is ideal for making holidays, having a drink at the pub or lying on the beach. Absolute compatibility will only cause harm if the group tries to excel at an activity. A group needs people that can 'stir things up', generate controversies and keep everyone on their toes. But too many 'complicated' people in a group can also be a disadvantage. Too many conflicting personalities will destroy a group, prevent it from reaching its goal and waste energy on endless disputes and clashes.
However, while 70% compatibility looks and sounds achievable on paper, in practice it is hard to reach. Therefore, place the slider at 60%. The program divides astrological compatibility parameters into several areas: compatible characters; compatibility at work or in common activities; closeness of individual sympathies; and unanimity of spirit and worldview. Cases when you will have to consider all four parameters are rare. If you analyze a team of young Russian reformers they will definitely share unanimity of worldview: unfortunately it will consist of lack of any real knowledge of the economy; bias against Russia; idolization of the West; and predilection for cynicism. The latter will belong to moral standards. The unanimity of spiritual interests will be less important for a soccer team; the compatibility of the team on field and, to a certain degree, compatibility of personalities, will be more valuable. Check the appropriate boxes and proceed.
The next window, Preferable Dynamics of Team Development, has a pop-up menu featuring several options of required final dynamics: Rising, Declining, Rapid Growth, Medium Growth and Custom Settings. These options will let you create any configuration of team dynamics. Move the two sliders forward and backward and see how the amplitude and steepness of the curve change, allowing you to choose the right settings.
Press the Calculation button and wait for results. The initial calculation will take some time if the group is large. Later on, when the changes only affect one or a few parameters within the current task, it will suffice to press the Re-Calculation button once, so that the new calculation can be made faster.

You can evaluate the optimization result in the right-side window. But it is not the end of the optimization process. Please note that the full team list in the bottom left-hand corner (below Database) will have changed. Only those that belong to optimal group will have checkmarks next to their names. The Team Dynamics window will show the optimized curve. Try to move the Dynamics, Compatibility and Preferred Dynamics sliders a little after pressing the Re-Calculation button. You may see some changes happen within the group. The amount of change will indicate how great the stability potential of the group. If the slightest change of the slider position causes change, it will mean that the group will be rather unstable.
The Situation Modeling feature also has a Compatibility tab. When you activate it, a four-parameter compatibility among all members of the group, including general team compatibility, will be calculated. Green will indicate positive compatibility parameters and red negative. If you select a name in the list on the left you will see how the table on the right is redrawn (the selected name will disappear from the table and the compatibility ratio between the person and the rest of the team will be displayed).

Pressing the Print button will print results from the Team Selection Master. When you press this button while the first tab (Data Entry) is activated, the initial group list will be printed. When the second tab (Compatibility) is activated, the compatibility table will be printed. Pressing the Print button when the third tab (Analysis) is activated, will print the optimized team list.
